KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. -- A prominent Tri-Cities attorney was killed Monday morning in a crash on I-90. It happened at the summit of Snoqualmie Pass, about 28 miles west of Cle Elum.
Troopers say Raymond Whitlow, 65, lost control and veered across several lanes and in front of another car. Whitlow died at the scene. He was in a 1997 Porsche Boxster.
Whitlow was part of the Kennewick law firm, Hames, Anderson, Whitlow & O'Leary.
The other driver was not hurt.
Troopers say both drivers were wearing their seatbelts. They do not believe drugs and alcohol were a factor.
KEPR spoke to WSDOT regarding the conditions at the time of the accident. The Department says an advisory went out at 7:30am calling for traction tires as there was snow and slush on the roadway. Conditions were quickly "deteriorating." This accident happened at 8:00am Monday.
As of Monday afternoon, every available WSDOT crew was on Snoqualmie Pass clearing the roadway as a storm dropped snow on I-90.
The crash remains under investigation.
