Power restored after outage in Union Gap
UNION GAP, Wash. -- Pacific Power says service has been restored to around 1,400 customers in the Union Gap area after an outage Thursday morning.

The outage occurred around 9 a.m., when a cable supply to a power substation was damaged.

Only about 1,200 customers were affected by the initial outage, but 200 more lost power while crews repaired the damaged lines.

A representative from Union Gap School says the school did lose electricity but that emergency lights were operating. Students were not sent home, and classes continued as normal.
