Police investigating stabbing at Yakima Inn

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Yakima police are investigating a stabbing at a local motel that sent one man to the hospital.

It happened around six o'clock at the Yakima Inn on North First Street.

Officers say the man was stabbed and was taken away for treatment.

Investigators blocked off the scene for hours collecting evidence.

We're told the victim is in surgery with extensive injuries.
