Yakima Police arrest drive by shooter

YAKIMA, Wash. -- A man is under arrest for a drive-by shooting that sent several bullets into a home here in Yakima this morning.
The shooting was on the 6200 block of Chestnut Street.
No one was hurt.
Police caught the suspect on 40th Avenue a short time later.
Neighbors say the home is usually quiet.
"It's a pretty mellow neighborhood where the kids can play and stuff. When something like this happens it's hard to let them out of the house because we don't know what's going to happen later," Steve Lacey said.
Yakima Police say the suspect claims he's in a gang and was targeting his girlfriend.
Officers say nearby schools were not locked down because they knew the shooter left the area.
