ZILLAH, Wash. -- KIMA learned Zillah police and the FBI questioned a man from Zillah about Facebook posts that raised safety concerns in several Lower Valley school districts.
Investigators say they got tips about disturbing posts on Friday, the same day as the deadly attack in Connecticut that killed 20 kids.
Details about the investigation are limited because it's on going.
According the the Yakima County Sheriff's Office website, deputies performed a welfare check on the man's home after receiving tips about alleged threats made online, but was unable to locate him.
Zillah police say he was later found by the FBI in the Upper Valley.
According YSO's incident log, the call that came in to deputies mentioned the Zillah man posted he was considering "doing something similar" to the shooting that happened Friday, and that "the children deserved it."
Zillah police say the online material has been deleted so it's hard to determine what was actually said.
School administrators in Zillah, Toppenish and Granger were warned but detectives maintain there is no immediate threat to your children and will continue to watch local area schools closely.
The Granger Police Department is now putting emphasis patrols at schools as a precaution.
The man questioned has not been charged according to Zillah investigators.

According to the YSO reports, the bass tard drives a blue Honda CRX, and lives on Beaudry Rd in Moxee. Guess what you little freak, we will ALL be watching out for you. You think this is cool? This is hip? This is funny? Think again big mouth. There is NOTHING heroic, or infamous about being a facebook coward who tries to mimic a killing spree or even hint at doing such a thing.Â
put the guy behind bars and throw away the key. what do we do as parents? my kid found this out and texted me during school. i call the office do they tell me anything? of course not, i knew they werent going to tell me anything. now do we send our kids to school? is this guy locked up? there should be 0 talerence, and they say they cant find the post he wrote? my daughter found it...... if its that easy for her its even easier for police. his pic is even beside it.... make copies and give it to police.....

I have SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Much I could say about law inforcement, but wont!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just hope they make sure OUR children AND teachers are SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is anyone checking the hard drive? Any techy can do that!
I hope Granger has it together. My grandchildren go there and need to feel safe!
@Diana My dad teaches there and my brother attends there too. I hope they have it together too!
We Need to Allow our teachers to be armed if they choose to. Contact your representatives to get a change in law to allow school districts the option of allowing staff to carry there weapons. The only reason these schools are attacked is they are an easy target, These crazy people dont attack police stations or gun shops because they know they wouldnt get very far. Our kids are in these peoples care, we should allow them the means to keep them safe. More weapons means less crime. The push by the liberal agenda is for gun control which will have the opposite affect they are selling people. Every person should carry a weapon and know how to use it, Crime would go down. Statistics dont lie. CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVE TODAY DONT WAIT FOR OTHERS TO DO THIS YOU SHOULD TAKE ACTION YOURSELF.
@Nick Having untrained teachers and others who have guns around schools will cause more innocent deaths than it will solve. In a gun fight, unlike westerns portray, it is a good chance that more innocent children will be killed by stray bullets, than by the killer himself. Also, a teacher might over react and kill an innocent person.
If you want to do something, force people who want guns to pass rigorous mental health standards, an intensive criminal investigation. Also force people who want a gun to take a rigorous course in gun use. We don't need more people with guns. Violence creates violence.
@Nick you have obviously never worked in a school. It would be a horrible idea to let teachers be armed! Students are stupid. They'd find ways to get the weapon, and there would be teachers out there that would use it as a threat to their students! That had to be the dumbest idea i have ever heard.Â
@HuntDawg61  @Nick thats why teachers are only allowed to carry small concealed weapons, and if found that they are brandishing them, or using them as an intimidation tool, immediate termination, and/or arrest.  All personnel with a weapon are to take required training, and monthly or bi monthly safety and security classes.  not all teachers, but only the ones that wish to have a weapon on school grounds.  Its not hard.  we are not just gonna throw guns around a school campus, THAT is stupid, i knew guys in high school that had weapons in their cars and such.  they were responsible guys and trained shooters, weapons were never visible, never loaded, often locked up.  if its not visible, and not talked about, no one will know its there.  its very simple. Â
@Nick and what are your thoughts if a student gets a hold of the weapon?
@Nick I agree. Armed and trained. It works in Israel!
@Jim Roberts  @Nick israel also has some of the strictest gun laws in the world. so yeah, lets be like israel with mandatory military training, background checks, psychological evaluations, and mental health evaluations just to apply to be allowed to have a gun. sounds fair to me.
