Police: Suspect punches man in face, steals his phone
KENNEWICK POLICE NEWS RELEASE -- On Saturday June 30th at 12:40 pm, the vicitm, Mustafamohamed, was parked in his vehicle in the parking lot of 601 S Kent. 24-year-old Abraham Thoual walked up to the victim, ripped his glasses off his face and punched the victim in the face. Thoual took Mustafamohamed's cell phone and threatened to kill him if he told anyone.
Mustafamohamed recognized Thoual from mutual friends that they have. It is unknown what the motivation for the crime was.
The investigating officer spotted Thoual the following day near 7th Pl and Olympia and took him into custody. Thoual was booked for Robbery 1st degree, Felony Harassment, and destruction of property. He was booked on a 72 hour investigative hold into the Benton County Jail.
