Elizabeth Romero was last seen at 1800 W. 7th Avenue Kennewick and is believed to be in danger. She is a 14 year old Hispanic female. Brown hair, brown eyes. She is believed to be 5'3". Elizabeth was last seen wearing a white top, dark pants, backpack and pink purse. The child may be in the company of Edwardo Flores Rosales, a 19 year old Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be 5'9", weighing 225 lbs. They may be traveling in a dark green Ford Escape SUV. Call 911 if you see them.
Police: Gang related shooting at local grocery store

YAKIMA POLICE NEWS RELEASE -- On 4/14/13 at about 1250 hours Yakima police officers were dispatched to the area of S. 3rd St and E. Beech for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival the located a crime scene at a small grocery store in the 600 block S. 3rd St. The store clerk advised that several shots had been fired from the parking lot area towards the store. Both glass front doors had obvious damage to them, and evidence was located in the parking area and inside the store. As officers were processing the scene for evidence, a subject with a gunshot wound was dropped off at a local hospital. The victim sustained several gunshot wounds, none are considered life threatening at this time. The victim advised that as he and a friend were walking into the store, several subjects in the parking area shouted gang slurs at them and shot at them. The undescribed suspects fled in a black vehicle, possibly a Honda, south on 3rd St.
Further investigation at the scene revealed that the victim was also armed with a handgun at the time of the shooting, and shot back at the suspects. It is unknown if any of the suspects were struck by the return gunfire. This incident is gang related. No one is in custody at this time.
Detectives and the Gang Unit are conducting follow up investigation.
