TROUTDALE, Ore. – Who wouldn’t love a cat that dresses like a pirate?

Ladies and gents, we present Sir Stuffington, a one-eyed cat that’s garnering thousands of fans.

He was a stray kitty in the Troutdale area and lost one of his eyes in a raccoon attack. Someone found him on Sept. 13 and turned him over to Multnomah County Animal Services.

Then, Blazer Schaffer decided to foster the homeless cat, posting his picture on her personal Facebook page.

He instantly became an Internet sensation after she launched a Sir Stuffington fan page. Coincidentally, the day Schaffer launched the fan page it was “Talk like a Pirate” day.

“It’s funny because I didn’t even know it was talk like a pirate date. So many things just kinda happened,” she said. “He’s had a Facebook page for six days and he’s got 28,000 fans.”

On Tuesday afternoon, Sir Stuffington’s fan number was up to nearly 33,000.

Schaffer is now calling him the ambassador of rescue pets because of his will to survive.
