New Vision still bringing new businesses, jobs to Yakima

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Bringing new business and jobs to the Yakima Valley. New Vision claims it's making solid progress toward that goal.

The agency promotes economic development. It delivered its annual report Tuesday.

Highlights include helping Arvato Digital Services and Paragon Films open new facilities in the region.

Both companies plan to hire more than 150 people this year.

"We had a great year - not just our organization but our community as a whole," said David McFadden, New Vision president. "We definitely saw an economic rebound. There's still uncertainty out there."

New Vision's President also says more companies are looking to expand in the Yakima Valley.

New Vision is credited with helping 60 companies add operations in Yakima County since it started.
