Neighbors concerned about vacant house fire
YAKIMA, Wash. -- A vacant house caught fire Tuesday morning near 66th Avenue and Occidental Road.

Firefighters kept it from spreading beyond the attic, but it still caused $60,000 in damage.

Crews removed some of the debris.

Neighbors say the house has been vacant for months.

"It's just been an empty house for quite a while," said Fran Ros who lives next door. "But we've had people in there that were rather disfunctional. That's okay but it's been empty and neglected."

No one was hurt.

Investigators say the fire started accidentally after someone left the heater on overnight.
