WSDOT NEWS RELEASE -- State Route 410 reopened to traffic Monday after crews closed a three-mile section of roadway last week due to flash floods.
Washington State Department of Transportation crews worked through the weekend to clear more than 300 dump-truck loads of mud and rock, clear ditches and repair damaged guardrail.
Heavy rains the night of September 5 caused flash floods to deposit large amounts of debris in 15 different locations along SR 410.
The largest amount of debris was estimated to be about 8 feet tall. Drivers were detoured around the closure using the Nile Road.
