WAPATO, Wash. -- KIMA continues to follow the mom and her seven kids who were living without running water near Wapato.

Blanca Canales couldn't afford to fix her broken well. After seeing reports by Action News, local company Picatti Brothers offered to help drill a new well at no charge. The work won't be done for a few weeks, but crews showed up to today to evaluate what's needed.

"Ever since I met Blanca she has just been overwhelmed with her thanks for the work we've been doing with Picatti Brothers and with our associate friends," says Doug Picatti. "And when I first came out to the job site both her and all her children came up and hugged me. It was truly amazing and endearing."

Last week, another local company set up a temporary water tank for Blanca to use for the time being. Many of you have also brought water to KIMA to donate to the family.
