Man falls down cliff; dies in Kittitas County
---KITTITAS CO. SHERIFF PRESS RELEASE--- On August 4, 2012 at around 9:20 PM, Kittitas County Sheriff Deputies and personnel from Kittitas County Fire District #8, and Kittitas County Hospital District # 2, responded to a report that 51 year old Issaquah resident Glenn Williams fell 40 to 50 feet down a rock cliff, into shallow water at Lake Kachess. The victim stopped off Forest Service Road 4900 to look at the view with his wife and daughter. This is a remote area off I-90 at Exit 62, approximately 10 miles northeast of Snoqualmie Pass.

The victim was transported by private boat to shore, where he was later pronounced deceased. The exact cause of the fall and death are still under investigation. Alcohol appears to have been a factor in this incident.
