Man beaten up and carjacked in Wapato
---YAKIMA SHERIFF'S NEWS RELEASE--- On 12/2/12 the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office took a robbery report that occurred at 0330 hrs at Fort Rd and Lateral A Rd. The victim told law enforcement that he and some friends had been drinking at a Wapato bar. They returned to the home of the friends’, which is in the area of the incident. The victim left to go home at around 0330 hrs. As he started to leave, a black Ford passenger car pulled alongside of him. A Native American male suspect pointed a gun at him and ordered him to pull off. When the victim came to a stop, he was assaulted by the suspect. A second Native American male pulled the victim out of the driver’s seat, and into the backseat. The suspects then drove the victim to the White Swan area, where he was dropped off. The suspects then made off with his 2002 gold Chevy Tahoe.

Following the robbery the victim walked back to his friends’ home, and called law enforcement. Due to the fact the victim just purchased the vehicle from a local car lot, no license number was provided. The suspects are both described as Native American males. Additionally, the victim reported the suspects were assisted by two Native American females. They were seen driving a black Ford passenger car.
