YAKIMA, Wash. -- We're learning more about the 70-year-old man left dangling from a flagpole in Downtown Yakima. Warren Hinrichs was trying to paint and fix the pulley on the flagpole outside the Federal Building when he lost his balance Monday.

Hinrichs says he didn't drink any water during the day when it got up to a hundred degrees. He calls it a frightening experience.

"I was very aware of everything that was happening. I was all red in my head, I felt like I could very easily pass out at any time," said Warren Hinrichs over a phone interview.

Hinrichs has been fixing flagpoles for 50 years. He's now back home in Spokane and plans to go back to work.
