Mabton man cited for texting and driving after three-car crash
YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. -- A Mabton man was cited for distracted driving Wednesday after troopers say he crashed into another vehicle while texting and driving south of Sunnyside.

Washington State Patrol says 26-year-old Randy Vasquez was driving south on State Route 241 just after 4 p.m. when he failed to notice two vehicles stopped for a school bus. His car then hit one of the vehicles from behind, pushing it into the other.

22-year-old Danny Peralta Jr. of Sunnyside and 23-year-old Mayra Amezcua-Alcala of Mabton were also injured in the crash. All three drivers were taken to Sunnyside General Hospital.
