Local business organizes Seahawks tailgate toy drive

YAKIMA, Wash. -- In the spirit of giving, a local Yakima business braved the cold to raise toys for children in need.

The Nob Hill Car Wash and Cool Beans Espresso hosted a Seahawks tailgate party. Neighbors could drop off toys or join in to view the game.

The real importance is knowing you're helping a child.

"Make someone else's life a little better," said Robert Noriega, Cool Beans Espresso  manager. "There's a lot of sad children out there, a lot of families can't do for themselves, so, not that we have to help but it would be nice."

The fundraiser was Noriega's idea.

Aaron's Furniture helped get the event rolling and donated a flat screen TV for game.

The fundraiser will continue next Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
