Investigators don't know what caused Cle Elum fire that killed 2 boys

CLE ELUM, Wash. -- A deadly house fire last week in Cle Elum started on the first floor of the home, according to investigators. The cause still hasn't been determined.

The young boys killed in the fire were Hunter Parkins and Skyler Burnett.

The boys were trapped inside when the home caught fire in the middle of the day. Their mother made it out alive. She was treated and released from a hospital. A family friend escaped the fire on Third Street as well.

A memorial will be held Friday for the young boy who died outside his home when a pile of sand collapsed on him.

The service for Clayton Everley starts at 4:00 p.m. at Cle Elum-Roslyn Elementary School. There will also be a balloon release with a potluck to follow.
