YAKIMA, Wash. -- Re-building is underway after last year's devastating fire at Heritage University. Crews broke ground on three new buildings on campus.
The fire destroyed the old Petrie Hall last summer. Heritage is spending about 10-million dollars on the new buildings. They will have new classrooms, computer labs and more student resources.
One student is excited to see the work.
"I'm very excited for the reason being it's a new building. I mean I've been here since 2009 and I've seen a lot of transition,” said student Lupe Jimenez.
Administrators hope to have all the work done by next September.
