Heavy damage to a Yakima home by early morning fire

YAKIMA, Wash.-- Yakima Fire Department crews were called out to a burning home around 1:40 Sunday morning, according to a YFD press release. The single family residence was already full involved when they arrived.

It happened in the 900 block of S. 1st Avenue. A man and child escaped without any injuries.

YFD says the fire heavily damaged the living room, kitchen, and attic. They estimate the damages around $85,000. Other departments that responded to the fire were East Valley, Training Center, and Union Gap.
