YAKIMA, Wash. -- KIMA was there as FBI agents raided the home of a deceased Yakima man early Wednesday morning. Investigators won't say why they went to Dan Gaub's home, but some alleged victims have come forward claiming they were robbed of thousands by Gaub in an alleged ponzi scheme.

The tranquil neighborhood around the 7700 block of Englewood Avenue woke up to multiple FBI agents. Yakima Police and the Yakima County Sheriff's Office raided the home of the late Dan Gaub.

The FBI refused to give any details of the raid releasing this statement to KIMA, "The FBI is conducting one or more searches in support of an active and ongoing investigation. Given this, no additional information is available at this time."

But one man claims to have plenty of information on independent Dan Gaub, a Forex trader, and his alleged ponzi scheme.

"[Dan Gaub] claimed he was an expert in this area and gained confidence of a lot of people claiming he was a wonderful Christian and ordained pastor,” said Jack Baugher. “A lot of people who knew him, including myself, would give him huge amounts of money."

Baugher said he knew Gaub for 20 years, taking trips to places like Israel together and enjoying Gaub's yacht. It was only after Gaub's death that Baugher discovered the thousands of dollars he and his parents invested with Gaub were gone.

"Anyone that came to him with any money, he would take,” Baugher said. “He didn't care if it was all your money, some of your money. He didn't care if you were a man, a woman, old, or young. He'd take your money."

And what exactly he did with that money remains the mystery that could be solved with information obtained in Wednesday’s search.

The crash that killed Dan Gaub remains under investigation. The county coroner is still waiting on toxicology reports. Two other alleged victims contacted KIMA Wednesday with similar stories to Baugher’s.
