Gas prices at record high this Thanksgiving
YAKIMA -- AAA says the national average for a gallon of gas is at a record high of $3.33 per gallon. That's up $.46 from a year ago.
Here in Washington the average is $3.68 for a 57-cent increase from last year.
The spike in Yakima is even worse. Our average is $3.74 a gallon for an increase of 62 cents from last year.
Despite record prices, AAA says more people are willing to travel because they stayed home the last couple of years.
Jose Traveno of Yakima says he did not visit family last year because of the gas prices and he's reconsidering his plans for this year.
"We had two plans to go to Seattle or Portland, but now we don't know yet.," Traveno said.
