YAKIMA, Wash. -- Ellensburg native Drew Bledsoe made a stop in Yakima Thursday. The quarterback great wasn't focused on football, but on his winery in Walla Walla.

Bledsoe owns a winery called Doubleback. He started his first vintage in 2007. Bledsoe began focusing on wine after 14 years in the NFL.

"I was with the Cowboys, and Tony Romo came in, and I was like, 'You know, it's time,'” said Bledsoe. “'I'm gonna go. I've already brought the wine property; it's time to get this thing going.'"

Bledsoe said he plans to break ground on a new winery in the next couple of years.
