YAKIMA, Wash.-- A handful of new postage stamps were unveiled today in Yakima. Four post card stamps, each with a different kind of apple, were released today. It was the first stamp unveiling in Yakima's history. Dozens of collectors and postmasters from all over Yakima County attended the event.
"Having a first day of issue is something new for it's first time it's ever happened here," said Bill Ailes, a local stamp collector.)))
Yakima was chosen because 60-percent of Washington's apples come from Yakima. The stamps are on sale now. The apples featured are: Northern spy, granny smith, golden delicious, and Baldwin.

I wonder if Apple (Iphones, etc) is going to sue the post office for patent infringement because Apple has a copyright on the apple leaf?
