YAKIMA, Wash. -- Yakima's not having as many problems with its water delivery system. Fewer water lines are breaking.

There were two incidents last year that cost the city $6,000. About 30,000 gallons of water was wasted.

That's down from five breaks in 2012 and seven in 2011. More than 250,000 gallons of water was lost both of those years.

Yakima says winter freezes and shifting ground factor into the frequency.
