Electrical fire at Grand Coulee Dam shuts down powerhouse

WENATCHEE, Wash. (AP) - An electrical fire Saturday shut down one of four powerhouses at the Grand Coulee Dam.
A Bureau of Reclamation spokeswoman, Lynne Brougher, told The Wenatchee World the fire occurred on a power line that connects a generator to an outside transformer.
The powerhouse was taken offline as a precaution.
Technical experts from the bureau's Denver office are investigating.
