Drive-by shooting sends man to the hospital

WAPATO, Wash. -- A drive-by shooting Thursday in Wapato sent a man to the hospital after being hit in the head. Officers responded to W. 3rd Street around 2:00 p.m.
The man was shot across the street from a daycare facility. Nearby Wapato schools went into lockdown.
Police won't say if the shooting is gang-related.
Neighbors don't like it happening so close to home.
"It's just kind of scary knowing that it's right there next to your house," said neighbor Tasha Hernandez.
The victim is in a Toppenish hospital and is expected to survive.
