Deputies arrest Bellevue man following I-90 chase

KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. -- Deputies arrested a 26-year-old Bellevue man following a brief chase on I-90. Jeffery Creighton was booked on felony eluding and DUI charges, officials said.

A deputy spotted erratic driving shortly after 1:00 Thursday morning and tried to stop the vehicle, according to a news release. The driver took off from downtown Ellensburg and got on I-90.

Officials said the suspect drove toward Elk Heights before making a U-turn and heading back toward Ellensburg.

Troopers laid spike strips to deflate the suspect's tires. His car came to a stop on an Ellensburg off-ramp and Creighton was taken into custody.
