YAKIMA, Wash. -- Nearly 20 students from Davis High School bared the cold to make an impact on the community, cleaning up graffiti.
Students painted over tagging from 6th Avenue to 7th Avenue around school grounds. The mission is to step up in the community and prove that younger generations can make a difference.
"We kind of work as a team," said student volunteer Rosendo Lopez. "So, we decided let's do something for the community. So why not just paint up graffiti because we have a lot of it around town."
All 15-gallons of paint and supplies were donated by Yakima Neighborhood Services.
The students plan to continue clean-up through out the year.
