YAKIMA, Wash. -- The Yakima man accused of various scams around town is now defending his work.
A half-dozen homeowners told Action News that Johnny Brown took their money to cut trees, but he never finished the job.
Brown responded to those complaints Thursday.
KIMA: "Police say they have a lot of reports of you ripping people off. Are you going around town and starting jobs and not finishing them?"
Brown: "No, I haven't, I haven't since for a long time."
KIMA: "Do you have license to be doing work in Yakima?"
Brown: "Personally, I don't. But, I'm working for someone that does have a license."
He said he couldn't finish some of the jobs because he's not allowed to go near live wires.
Brown is scheduled to appear in court next week for peddling and other unrelated charges.
