Community extends support to Geppetto's
YAKIMA, Wash. -- Monday inspectors checked out Geppetto's Italian Bistro to see what parts of the building are safe for people to go inside and work. Just last Wednesday, a fire heavily damaged the Italian restaurant.

The fire not only damaged the building but now employees are left jobless. Employees who've worked there for years don't have any way to pay their bills. Executive Chef Lindsay Park said she is still in shock over the fire and is surprised to see such an out forth of community support.

There will be a benefit to help Geppetto's employees. The benefit will take place tomorrow evening from 4-8pm at the Franklin Park Rotary Pavilion. All of the money will go directly to supporting the employees.

The restaurant is currently closed.
