UNION GAP, Wash. -- The city of Union Gap issued a trespass order against mayor Jim Lemon, according to city administrator Chris Jensen.
Jensen said the city and police served the no trespass order Friday morning. Lemon was ordered to keep away from city hall and public works.
The order stems from a criminal investigation regarding an incident with a city employee on Thursday, Jensen said. It's unclear what that incident was.
Lemon will be stripped of mayoral powers after Thanksgiving as part of Union Gap's move to a strong city manager form of government.
To get all sides, Action News reached out to Jim Lemon. Our calls were not returned.
As an ex-employee of Union Gap myself, I quit my job shortly after Jim Lemon became mayor. My termination was due to his bullying and threats. I know that mayor Jim Lemon has been a problem for years and I am finally glad to see that the employees of Union Gap are fed up with his attitude and are finally able to stand up for what they believe in. In my opinion, Union Gap is one of the greatest small towns in the state. It has enormous potential, especially in the retail area. I worked with some of the nicest and most knowledgable people I have ever met. Then Jim Lemon took office.

I only hope the Mr. Lemon gets his just reward and the city can mend itself and get on with becoming great.
