City has plans to revitalize downtown and improve your safety
YAKIMA, Wash. -- Yakima's city manager has new plans to revitalize the downtown area, while improving your safety.
The Downtown Action Plan was presented at tonight's City Council meeting.
It's supposed to improve the appearance, design and safety of Downtown Yakima. Parking problems will also be addressed.
City officials hope it ultimately bring more shops to the area.

I would like to know when will you clean up and fix North First street ?? As a person from out of town it is sure a ugly site to go down that road. As it it the first exit you take to come to yakima .. If I didn't have people I know here I would not come to yakima. As North first Street tells a first look at what the city is all about.. Its really sad after all theses years the city has done nothing into improving the first part of Yakima the real part of town the first impression on the city.. Come on CITY MAYOR FIX NORTH FIRST !!!!!!Â
