CWU professor home after deadly storm on Mt. Everest
YAKIMA, Wash. -- A CWU professor is back in the United States after climbing Mt. Everest and surviving a deadly storm.

Jon Kedrowski was at Mount Everest during deadly conditions.
Several people died trying to reach the summit.

The former Geography Professor says seeing others die encouraged him to keep going.

"It was tough to come across another body and another body and see the carnage as it unfolded. So it was definitely tough but it made me pay more attention to the task at hand and make sure I got down safe," says Kedrowski.

He is now living in Colorado, but plans to return to Washington state to give tours at Mount Rainer.
