CRIME TRACKER: Slight decrease in shoplifting
YAKIMA, Wash. -- The KIMA Crime Tracker found a slight decrease in shoplifting in Yakima.

There were 561 cases through October. In the same time period last year, there were a little more than 600. Downtown antique store owners say they work with each other to be on the lookout. They keep an eye out for what's been reported stolen from private homes.

"So that if anybody comes in trying to sell it we're aware of that and of course police reports are filed," said Doug Fadness, antique shop owner.

YPD has too many violent crimes and drug cases to handle that it can't pay too much attention to shoplifting.
