Beaudry Road construction likely to continue into school year
YAKIMA, Wash. -- Crews are still working on Beaudry Road near East Valley Elementary, Junior and Senior High Schools.

Yakima County workers say the curbs will be poured this week, then the sidewalks. Paving won't start until August 20th.

A bus driver who lives nearby says it won't interfere with keeping students safe.

"Safety is a priority, if there's a problem with the kids we can always transport them with the buses, with the sidewalks and the construction. So, we just have to be very careful knowing there's kids out there and the parents who bring their kids to school need to just remember safety is an issue," said David Munson, who lives near the school.

Yakima County workers say students will still have access to the schools during the construction.
