Toppenish Fire Destroys Home
TOPPENISH --- One home was destroyed Tuesday night in Toppenish.
It happened to a trailer home on the 900 block of Winaway road. A neighbor spotted the flames and called for help. The biggest concern for the fire fighters was all of the propane tanks in and around the home. "All we were told was that there were tanks in the house. That's what they were using for heat. There was no power to the house. We just didn't know how many, so it was just a matter of trying to find them and get them cooled off as quickly as possible," Lower Valley District 5 Lt. J.J. Ihnen told Action News.
There was no one home at the time of the fire and no one was injured. The cause is still being investigated.
