EASTERN WASHINGTON --- They're results many superintendents say are almost unheard of in times like this. Every single School District levy in Yakima and Kittitas Counties passed Tuesday night.

Superintendents and school board members studied the results as they were handed out but didn't have a single complaint.

"We're very gratified at the trust the voters in our district have for us and the fact that they're willing, even in these economic times, to support the kids," Mt. Adams Superintendent, Rick Foss told Action News after hearing the results.

From Mt. Adams to East Valley, Kittitas to Grandview, every school district in Kittitas and Yakima counties got the votes needed.

That means sports are safe in Wapato. "There are areas where we don't get enough funding from the state and sports is a critical one," Wapato Superintendent, Becky Imler said.

Selah can keep its teachers. "That's one of the biggest things this year is the teachers and it's going to help immensely," Selah School Board Member, James Sebree reasoned.

Union Gap can think of a few more things for the continued money.

"It makes a difference with class sizes, with school supplies, travel, transportation, you name it; It's effected by the levy."

Nearly all of the levies replaced current ones, but even the two capital levies passed. This means Naches will get to re-do its buildings, plus keep programs and teachers.

School officials say they're glad parents did the math when they voted. Both the votes, and the money, will add up.
