Flooding in Tieton
TIETON --- Some homeowners in Tieton learned the hard way what happens when culverts don't drain fast enough.
6-inches of water covered the garage and shop at the Jernberg home Monday. All the warm weather caused so much run-off, the culverts filled and spilled over into natural drainage areas like the one their home was in. City workers said they were working through the day to clear those culverts.
Unfortunately, the Jernbergs did not have flood insurance.
