High Speed Chase in Yakima

YAKIMA --- Afternoon traffic helped cops catch 4 people in Yakima.

"They took off, lead me on a pursuit around Memorial, down to Tieton, up 34th Avenue, across Nob Hill and ultimately ended up here on Washington where they got bottlenecked up in traffic," Sgt. Erik Hildebrand told Action News.

It all started when the proact team started watching a man with a felony warrant enter his girlfriends house against a court order. A bunch of people hopped in the car and took off and eventually started a high speed chase around town. When they got caught up in traffic, they ditched the car and cops surrounded the area to catch them on foot.

A gun was later found in the car and 4 were taken into custody. The man they initially tried to catch is still at-large, but two of the other passengers had warrants of their own and were caught.
