OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) - Gov. Chris Gregoire is going to Copenhagen for the U.N. climate summit.
Gregoire leaves Friday. She will join Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle and California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. They were invited by The Climate Registry and the Georgetown Climate Center, who are paying for the governors' trips. Gregoire says she will "have the opportunity to showcase Washington as an international leader of the clean energy technology revolution." She will be a speaker at several events and workshops next week. Several Washington companies are attending the summit as well, including Microsoft, Weyerhaeuser, and NewEarth Renewable Energy.
