No Snow, Slow Snow Tire Sales

YAKIMA -- The lack of snow is drying up snow tire sales.

The folks at Frank's Tire Factory say their numbers are down by 15% compared to last November.

Mild temperatures and little snow on the pass has people holding off.

"People are trying to hold out as long as they can to get their winter tires or purchase new ones. It's totally understandable with money and everything," says Bryan Frank, Frank's Tire Factory.

Snow tires cost around $100 each and are only used a few months out of the year. Frank's Tire Factory plans on seeing a lot of last minute tire customers once it starts to snow in Yakima.
