Heating Assistance AvailableBy Stacy Lilienthal
With the weather getting chilly, help for paying your heating bills is here.
Pacific Power is matching customer donations to provide a total of about $40-thousand to help cash-strapped customers pay their heating bills. Once the application process is complete, heating help will fire up next month. "The money will go to our customers. Folks that are probably low incomes, who were having trouble paying their electric bills this summer and those agencies will sort of distribute those funds on a need basis," Pacific Power Regional Manager, Clark Satre said. The money will be given out on a first-come first-serve basis. To apply in the upper valley, go to the Yakima Salvation Army. In the lower valley, you'll need to stop by the Northwest Community Action Agency |
