If you're heading into Yakima, be sure to take a fresh look around.

The Committee for Downtown Yakima is nearly finished planting summer flowers, and lining the streets with baskets of posies. More than 325 baskets are up, and by the end of the week, about 1,500 flowers will have been planted.
