YAKIMA -- Dozens celebrated the expansion of Children's Village. It is adding on to their existing building, to house and treat more children with Autism. Portions of the building will also be used for dental rooms and a library.

Parent Michael Swindell's son gets treatment at the hospital. He told Action News, "This is really exciting because our son is pretty active and everybody from the front door to the back office knows our son, as he runs through the halls and this gives him that much more of a facility and the people that work here more of an opportunity to help kids at Yakima Valley."

The building should be ready by next February.
