The Search Goes On For Robber Dad With Little Girl
By Audrey AsistioKITTITAS COUNTY -- The surveillance video captured everything- a dad robbing a gas station in with his daughter right beside him. Deputies now say the man is Robert Daniel Webb. His friends call him "Dan." He was apparently on a middle of the night trip from Everett to Yakima when investigators say he robbed the gas station in Thorp. He used to live in Yakima. Deputies say Webb's friends saw him on the news and advised him to turn himself in. Friends said Webb panicked, then took off with his little girl. Kittitas County Undersheriff Clayton Myers said, "As far as we know, he's a very loving father, but he's making some very bad choices right now and has not realized the danger he's putting her in." But former neighbors say they have seen trouble with the family before. A neighbor told Action News, "I do know of an incident that took place prior to that. that was a lot of screaming and yelling. he broke a window, my neighbor called the police and they arrested him." Webb's wife, the little girl's mother, is still in Everett. Deputies say she was shocked to hear what was happening. She is working with them to get her child back. "He needs to if nothing else, he needs to release his child so we can get her out of this situation," Myers said. Deputies have no idea where Webb and his daughter are headed. They say at this point, they could be anywhere. If you have any leads, call the Kittitas County Sheriff's Office- (509) 962-7525. |
