Evan Mettie Recovering At Home

Selah -- A local soldier injured in Iraq is finally recovering at home.
We've brought you his story before Selah High School grad Evan Mettie, he has a brain injury from a suicide bomber and limited control of his muscles. Mettie's spent the last few years in rehab but can now do physical therapy from his parents' home in Selah. "The big thing to me is we know he's going to get more therapy more work outs, because we'll be hands on," says Denise Mettie, Evan Mettie's Mom. It cost about $100,000 to do the renovations, Denise Mettie says the neurofeedback therapy is helping, Evan's been more vocal and expressive. |
