Yakima Craft Brewing Co. Gets an A-Plus

The Yakima Craft Brewing Company has been in business for less than a year but already won "top dog" honors in the industry. The Microbrewery received the highest rating possible from the magazine, "Beer Advocate."

So does this mean they'll go national? Co-owner Jeff Winn says no: "Well it means we get calls from around the country so far and eventually the world from people asking where can I get your beer, where can I get your beer? I live in New York, I live in Ohio, where can I get it? I've had calls from everywhere since last week and the story's always the same. You can come to Yakima."

They're true to the Valley and have no plans to expand other than adding a few part-timers this summer. For now, the two owners will continue to brew and bottle their four full-time labels and a couple of seasonal ales on their own.
