Tallying The Damage
By Sade Malloy
Kittitas County -- The clean up process continues for folks hit by flood waters in Kittitas County.
The Kittitas County Sheriff's Office tells Action News they're still trying to get a grip on all the damage. Officials say it's too early for damage estimates but they had around 300 people displaced from their homes during this week's flooding. "As a county we've been so fortunate we have not lost anybody and didn't have any serious injuries,"says Clayton Myers, Kittitas County Undersheriff. Kittitas County officials hope to have damage estimates Monday, preliminary numbers for road damage is between $20 and $40 million for county roads. |
