YAKIMA, Wash. -- Mount St. Helens erupted 34 years ago. Yakima saw huge amounts of ash and dust in the air after the eruption.

Scientists say magma is building under the mountain's crater. Geologists say they're detecting more deep earthquakes, which could indicate another eruption, but they don't know when.

People living near Yakima during the eruption said it was difficult to breathe.

57 people died from the eruption.
